“I am honored and appreciative of being chosen as a recipient for The Comer Foundation Scholarship. This generous funding will assist in paying for my classes that are essential to my education at The University of Alabama. I am an upcoming senior at the University majoring in Food and Nutrition with : a minor in Biology. I recently applied to medical school, so am in the process of pursuing a career as a physician… These educational opportunities would not be possible without the help of your scholarship. I thank you again for selecting me, and I will continue to intentionally pursue my passions and hopes with my remaining time at The University of Alabama.”

“Before receiving the Comer Foundation Scholarship, I was concerned about covering the financial cost of attending the University of Alabama. I am part of a large family of six kids, and my parents do not have the means to put us all through college, so we are individually responsible for paying for our own college education. With my two older brothers already in college at UA and my sister now attending UA as well, this scholarship has been an answer to prayer and is such a blessing… I am so thankful for the opportunity that you are giving me through this scholarship. Everything that I have done and accomplished throughout my first year at UA has truly only been made possible through your Foundation.”

“I cannot express how thankful I am for this generous scholarship. My family has struggled to pay my tuition this past year, and it has been a constant worry on my mind. However, worse than any absence of cash was the constant worry of my mother and father. When I opened up the email congratulating me on the scholarship, my jaw dropped. I was speachless. I called my mom and told her; she screamed and broke into tears. Scholarship or not, I knew she was proud of me. I truly cannot express how thankful my family and I are for this generous contribution.”
